Ivory and blush always seem to be a highly popular colour combination for weddings and I can certainly see why. This colour combo is soft, romantic and chic so, it makes perfect sense why I am absolutely loving today’s real wedding feature from Molly D. Photography. The other reason I am loving this wedding is all the personal details that went into it. From hand tied bouquets by her mother that included peonies from her grandma’s garden to a cake and cupcakes made by the bride, her mother and friend.
From the bride:
“My Mom did all of the floral arrangements for the ceremony and reception, as well as all of the bouqets, corsages, and boutineers using mainly blush and ivory roses, and white hydrangea’s. She used peonies that my very elderly Grandmother Helen lovingly grew in her garden for my bridal bouquet. Grandma was too sick to join us for our wedding day and passed away in September; but her beautiful flowers were part of our special day and were captured in our gorgeous photos, she was so thrilled to see her hard work in the garden as part of my bouquet. My bridesmaid Ashley and I baked all of the cupcakes (vanilla bean, red velvet, coconut cream, and double chocolate) and our wedding cake (coconut cream) while my extremely talented Mom decorated all of them with homemade buttercream rosettes, and hydrangeas in varying shades of blush and ivory.”
Molly D. Photography shares…After the first dance Eleah, Jesse and I went to nearby Aspen Beach on Gull Lake to capture a few more photos as the sun slowly set. The light was dreamy and so were the newly weds, making me one happy photographer. I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming, kind, and beautiful couple to work with.
