We are so fortunate today to feature this amazing wedding shot by Cristal King Photography. Ashley & Dustin couldn’t have chosen and more unique and gorgeous setting in Dinosaur Provincial Park. With stunning back drops and amazing colors it is easy to see why this was such a great location choice.
Here is what the Cristal King had to say about shooting this beautiful couple…
‘Dinosaur Provincial Park is one of Dustin’s favorite places and is out there quite often, and it’s not hard to see why, it’s an amazing place! Ashley quickly fell in love with this location as well during engagement photos. We (my husband Tyler(my second shooter, assistant) and I met Ashley and Dustin at the park at 8am on their wedding day, hoping we wouldn’t have a torrential downpour as we have been having thunderstorms and funnel cloud warnings recently, but the sky cleared just enough to provide an beautiful overcast light and no rain. Spots we had chosen for the days photos were too muddy and slippery to hike up to so we improvised with a few other spots Dustin and his best man Murray found for us. Everyone needs a best man like Murray! He ran ahead of us thru the mud and mosquitos to find great spots and to bring the bouquet for the bride and to spray us with bug spray in addition to setting up signage and lugging around wedding gear! We thought he should probably be a “Best Man for Hire”! The men were dressed in more casual wear which suited their style and location. They looked like Park Rangers or dinosaur researchers like Chris Pratt in Jurassic World 🙂 Ashley looked elegant and stunning in her fitted lace dress and has an adventurous spirit, willing to explore and hike out to great spots to get the shot! She put together amazing wedding details for her day, her vintage jewelry, naked cake, feminine color scheme yet with a relaxed simplicity that made it a very comfortable, fun day! Ashley was amazing with her ring bearer and flower girl, bringing balloons for photos with the bridal party to keep them occupied and made moments in the day to interact and play with them so the situation would lend itself to the cutest photos! They had a very simple, intimate ceremony at the look out spot with just immediate family and bridal party, with a reception back home in Brooks.’
