Modern Industrial Calgary Wedding

One of my favorite trends in weddings right now is the industrial theme. I think it is something different and fresh. Today’s feature, Matt and Laura’s modern industrial Calgary wedding captured by Kendal & Kevin Photography fits that theme perfect. If you are starting to plan your wedding and are having a hard time picking a theme, consider this one.

This whole wedding was designed and styled by the amazing Kismet & Clover and I must say, not one detail was missed. The ceremony and reception both took place at the stylish restaurant, Charbar. Wait until you see the food at the reception, your mouth will be drooling!

On to the amazing industrial wedding decor. I can not stop swooning over the ceremony’s chic copper arbor, garnished with stunning floral pieces from Rhosyn. It is absolutely amazing.

Bake My Day designed a lovely copper painted cake and topped it off with some greenery and flowers.

Kismet & Clover shares…” We went with a very modern and industrial feel because of the location and natural aesthetic of the venue. Matt and Laura are also self-proclaimed city folk and are huge ambassadors of their trendy neighborhood (The East Village, where the venue was located). We wanted all of the details to be a true embodiment of their personalities. We added touches of copper and geometric to help bring their vision to life. For colours, we went with a nice rich grey blue to compliment the copper accents. We incorporated concrete décor to further illustrate the modern/industrial concept. No little detail was overlooked, from the copper wiring that held the name cards in place, to the copper sweet heart table setting, and the tropical greenery on the arbor.”
